AI

I have never actively used AI - something which is getting harder to say, with every app forcing it on users - and I do not plan on using it in the future, because I will not outsource my brain.

I am seriously concerned about the number of candidates who are using AI to craft their messaging and responses to voters. A political candidate needs to be intelligent, experienced, and well-read to be an effective elected leader - not someone who knows how to get software to mask their inadequacies in those fields.

That being said, like all new technologies, AI is a tool that can be used for good or ill. I support the City of Courtenay using AI in some cases, if that solution saves taxpayers money.

However, I will vote against AI or other data centres, which provide very few local jobs but use significant electricity and water.
